Aero-ist Clothing Limited are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new Flight Safety Product onto the market. The Aero-ist Flight Cap has the appearance of a standard baseball-style cap but contains a padded ABS shell that conforms to European Bump Cap standards.
Many pilots feel that wearing a full helmet or ‘Bonedome’ is not appropriate in many light aircraft, but at the same time feel exposed flying with no head protection at all. The Aero-ist Flight Cap is designed to guard against knocks, bumps and scrapes whilst in and around the aircraft.
The ABS shell is padded and vented and conforms to EN812 European Bump Cap standards. This is not designed to replace the Bonedome worn by many pilots of high-performance aircraft, but to provide an intermediate level of protection that is easy and comfortable to wear under headphones in any type of light aircraft.
The Aero-ist Flight Cap has an adjuster at the rear (one size fits all) and a short peak to provide some glare protection, whilst still allowing good all-around visibility. The outer is made from cotton and is plain save for a small Aero-ist Logo on the front-left panel.
The Aero-ist Flight Cap will be initially offered in a choice of Black, Navy and Red, with a smaller version for Junior Aero-ists planned as well as more colours. At £17.00 (plus £2.50 postage) they are exceptional value
